ASUS has announced the prototype of Asus Transformer AiO, an innovative device that is firstly runs on dual OS, running both the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the latest Windows 8. Basically, the Asus Transformer AiO is said to be rooted in Windows 8 operating system. Means, the Asus Transformer AiO boots in Windows 8, and the users will get the very opportunity to turn it into Android with only a press of a button. This is the runner up of the ASUS new lines up at Computex 2012 after the double-sided LED-backlit IPS/FHD display ASUS TAICHI.

Therefore, the Asus Transformer AiO is part tablet, part All-in-One PC. The optional switching between the two OS gives the users a best chance to suit their needs.

While the upcoming Transformer Book is rumored to have a maximum 14-inches display screen, the Asus Transformer AiO will own a dockable 18.4-inch touchscreen. The Transformer AiO owns a screen section that is removable, allows you to drop it into a base station for desk use.

Indeed, it’s true that the Asus Transformer AiO will run on two operating systems: the latest Windows 8 as the rooted booting and Google Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) as the switchable operating system.

The Asus Transformer AiO has a 18.4-inch LED-backlit display that support up to 10-point multi-touch. Running in tablet mode, the Asus Transformer AiO’s screen gives the same performance as when the device is docked on the standing base without any reducing performance.



Although ASUS has brought the Asus Transformer AiO prototype into Computex 2012, there is no any confirmation about the specs, hardware that will be implanted into the Asus Transformer AiO. However, we are still expecting the Asus Transformer AiO to sports Intel’s 3rd Generation (Ivy Bridge) Core range, super-fast SSD ports, and super-speed USB 3.0 availability. We would also wonder about the powerful discrete graphics engine. Just wait for ASUS to confirm the final version.
