Gadget Reviews – The Pentax Optio LS465 has just been announced a few weeks ago, featuring an optical 5X zoom lens and overall design which is lighter and smaller than any compact camera in standard-class models. The effectively 16 megapixels images can be captured with a 28mm wide-angle coverage. It has a pushbutton to start HD movie recording.

There is also Pentax 5-25mm, equivalent to 28-140mm in 35mm lens with f/3.9 – 6.3 apertures that can perform 5x optical zoom.

On the rear side, the Pentax Optio LS465 has 2.7’ inch color LCD with an approx. 230k dots for viewing the captured images. The Pentax Optio LS465 is fitted with 41.7 MB internal memory with the capability to be expanded with the compatible SD, SDHC and SDXC cards.

  • Automatic face detection with creative tools

    • The Face Detection AF&AE function allow the Pentax Optio LS465 then optimizes focus and exposure settings once the camera detects any human face within the image field. The interesting Smile Capture mode will release the shutter button when the subject’s smile is detected.

  • Pushbutton start for High-quality HD-standard movie recording

    • The Pentax Optio LS465 can record movies at HD quality (1280 x 720 pixels) at 30 frames per second. There will be no delay on movie recording, thanks to the independent movie recording button that is placed on the back panel. The Movie SR (Shake Reduction) mode helps the users to counter any camera shake during movie shooting.
