Gadget Reviews – After the success of the Galaxy mini, Samsung continues to offer its upgrade-version, Samsung Galaxy mini 2. The Samsung Galaxy mini 2 has HVGA resolution, substitutes the QVGA display on the previous model. Another improvement that is applied to the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 is that the new device sports an 800MHz single core chip while its predecessor sports an 600MHz processor.

The Samsung Galaxy mini 2 is built in cute and cuddly design. Plain old plastic is adopted to be the main material of the Samsung Galaxy mini 2’s body cover while a chrome-like shiny bezel decorates the phone’s side. Samsung applies a fine texture in the back cover to give the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 extra grip. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 appears in a presentable looks and feels well-built.

On sale, the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 is powered with an 800MHz single core Qualcomm processor chip that handles everyday tasks easily. The processor is paired with 512 megabytes of RAM.

The 3-megapixel camera is fitted on the rear side of the phone. The camera lacks of auto-focus and gives a standard performance of VGA video recording. A 1,300mAh battery is laid under the back cover, promises up to 7.5 hours of talk time in a single charge life cycle.
